As a native of Davie County, I would like to welcome you to Smith Grove Church which is located near the center of the county. As I have mentioned to the people of Smith Grove, I have spent the majority of my life only a few miles away, but had not been in this church until August 2023. However, within a short period of time, I realized how much the people here love God, each other, and the community they serve. February 2024, I was privileged to accept the position of pastor at Smith Grove and the best is yet to come.
Everyone has a faith journey worth sharing and mine is no exception. When I was 17, the Holy Spirit touched my heart and showed me that my sins needed forgiven. This was possible only by the finished work of Jesus Christ and by me accepting him as my Personal Savior my true journey began. Ministry was the last thing on my mind, since I had always wanted to be a veterinarian. However, through a series of events, God led me into ministry. Shortly after my calling, I attended Freedom Baptist Bible College and graduated in 2006 with an accreditation equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Theology. Prior to becoming the Pastor at Smith Grove, I taught Sunday School, led Bible Studies for youth and adults, led youth, and delivered sermons at Autumn Care of Mocksville and worship at church when requested.
